Guest Lecture, Friday noon
Social Circus Bombastico-Praha
Recovery in a sphere of metaphors
Led by: Beate Albrich (Czech Republic)
During this lecture we will enter the world of circus:
Colors, juggling, fire, dance, drums, masks… childhood dreams of freedom, diversity, special skills, individuality and joy.
In the social circus we live a strong community life, based on simple routines, respect, the acceptance of the different and the need to rely on each other.
Circus Bombastico-Praha works 20 years with artists, who have experienced severe crises. Times of their life they dropped out of the normal, usual, they know what it is to be different, diagnosed and stigmatized.
I will show recovery processes, due to means of creative therapies and the metaphorical parallel process in the circus compared with our common life experiences.
In the lecture we will also watch parts of circus performances.
